X² is now available on Crunchyroll.
It is located under the Music section (not Anime) and it includes the whole 28-minutes of it.
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be a remaster, as previously announced by ANN. It appears to be an upscale, instead.

This is very unexpected and yet much anticipated.
May this be the first sign of an upcoming remastered version of the movie and TV anime, enough to build up momentum for the manga to be resumed (wishful thinking).
