AIPAC knows - among other things - that in order to stop arming Israel, Congress would need to repeal the law that requires the US to ensure Israel has a Qualitative Military Edge (QME) over other countries in the region. So it funds candidates that won't repeal that law (22 U.S.C. § 2776).
Mamdani: When I am speaking about AIPAC, I’m speaking about an organization that has fought any attempt to actually deliver safety to people not just in Palestine but, frankly, throughout much of the region.
And it is a status quo of immorality. It is one that I will not accept.
