On June 18, 1977 Ivan Koloff defeated Dick the Bruiser in Indianapolis, Indiana to win the vacant WWA title. Also on the card, Jimmy and Johnny Valiant defeated Paul Christy and Moose Cholak to win the #WWA tag titles.
