Libraries are not the problem. To correct a typo from an earlier post, I've released 1-3 books a year (almost all from major trad-pubs) since 2003 - and despite caution, residuals, and sub-rights deals, I still do not earn enough money to reliably support myself.

we were in the awkward position of being ready to launch the Mercenary Librarians trilogy right when Macmillan was restricting ebook sales to libraries during the launch window. We were upset, to say the least. I was on the phone with a VP who gave me all their library data. It didn't sway me.
