I do love this image:
Latest unhinged leadership decision from UoE. (Remember: this is an institution that isn't even running a deficit, but has somehow decided that the route to security involves declaring war on itself.)
Collecting critical accounts of Scottish illumination & I have a new winner 'The decoration is brutal..full of barbaric audacity' 'the whole attains a frightening grandeur by its absence of restraint.' 'more goodwill than decorative taste led him to this weird imitation.' Oh this is gold for the 📖!
Busy day at Linlithgow Palace and St Michaels Church for the launch of our book on Anselm Adornes. Especially apt since Anselm was keeper of the Palace for James III and buried in St Michaels after his murder, his heart sent back to Bruges. Thank you @jillharrison1.bsky.social for organising! ⛪🏰🦄⚔️
It’s important to use books to get through your day like identifying patches of stable land while walking through a swamp. You should have a bedside book, a car book, a couch book, and an office book.
The Reviving the Trinity Stones exhibition is up and running! A great launch on Friday where we 'unveiled' a very special Passion stone, saved by the project. There are now 8 weeks of exhibition, walks and talks at the Museum of Edinburgh.
