Knies is one of the few Leafs I actually like. So, I think he would've been pretty perfect for the Habs.
If the Leafs are going to rebuild around McKenna, I'd be keeping Knies and packaging up Matthews -- who doesn't seem to have the attributes, or care, to win tough games.
