There is something wrong with the Green Party. The number of their candidates sharing anti-Semitic views is truly disturbing.
And no, we don’t accept the apology because it is clearly not sincere. A root and branch review is necessary.
It has a full service eat in restaurant, takeaway service, and a couple of large outside table where you can order from the takeaway if the weather is good. (The picture features the last option).
… and I think they make up their own tartare sauce.
The staff are friendly. They have a couple of draft beers and a cider in the main restaurant, as well as a wine list with about 8 or 9 available by the glass.
This restaurant recommendation is for one of the rarest of beasts - a good central London fish and chip shop.
I was recommended the North Sea Fish Restaurant on Leigh Street (Bloomsbury) at the start of the year; but have visited 3 times before including it (to ensure it is reliable).
Portions are pretty good and given you are a short walk from King’s Cross, Euston and Russell Sq I didn’t think the prices were outrageous - particularly when eating outside on a nice day.
Probably as good as it gets in central London if you want fish and chips. Recommended.
Now I won’t lie. It’s not as good as Bells in Durham or some of the better chippies in Yorkshire I have visited. Mainly, because I don’t think they cook in beef dripping - a perennial problem in London.
Nonetheless, it is really pretty good. Fresh fish, great batter, good portions. Curry sauce…
