Born in fire, battered by the wreckage of colliding worlds, covered for eons in magma, wracked by volcanoes, frozen and thawed again and again, and after everything went just wrong and right enough, here it is: our home. The rarest gift in the known universe.

Now would be a great time to reconsider that 46% cut to NASA’s science budget for FY2027.
Fellow human beings are bravely flying out into the cold darkness of space today.
With this mission, NASA is laying the groundwork for so much more exploration over the next few years. I’ll be watching, hoping, dreaming with them at launch time, and I’m so glad to be alive to see the next chapter
