Beau, Gus and me! OTRB Finn

My boss and dragged him across his front yard! Thankfully, my boss didn’t hold it against me. He is, however, quite fond of telling that story about Finn.
Here’s some snoozling Finn.
Another funny story because it helps to talk about him. My boss got a Bernedoodle puppy when Finn was about 2 and Gus was about 6mos. I took the boys to meet Daisy. At one point, my boss is holding Finn’s leash when another dog walks down his street. Finn yanked to go meet the dog, took down
My heart.
My heart is in my throat; ER just called and said Finn may have pneumonia. His heart rate is elevated and he’s on oxygen. They aren’t too concerned and say this really doesn’t change the prognosis but may delay recovery.
I just want my baby to be okay. Please.
Funny Finn story. Dad was holding Finn in this picture while I finished the paperwork with the breeder. I drove my parents and sister to get Finn. My Dad let my sister hold him on the way back home. Finn kept barfing on her! Thank the LORD that Dad thought to bring paper towels!
This is the longest recovery Finn has had. He is staying at the ER one more night. I visited just now and he was out of it. They’d just given him his pain killers. On a positive note, he had a bowel movement. That’s exciting. Sadly, that’s exciting. LOL! Keep him in your thoughts, please.
I painted this a while ago. Thought it was shit. Tonight, I saw something different; I saw his goofy, anxious, wonderful face. It still isn’t great by any stretch, but it captures him.
#DogsOfBluesky I see so many of us have lost canine (and other) companions recently. I am so sorry for your losses. I would love to see pictures if you’d like to share. And any fun story that you may have of your good girl or boy.
Me & Finn a million moons ago. I will miss that smile forever.
#DogsOfBluesky He's gone. Finn is gone. I am devastated. I thank you all so much for sending him well-wishes. In the end, his body couldn't recover one more time. It was too much to ask. I didn't know when I took this picture that he would steal my heart the way he did. Goodbye, love.
Just visited Finn. He is loopy but otherwise doing well. And Gus, in solidarity, is having more regular movements. They aren’t solid yet, but at least it isn’t days between. I’ll take whatever wins I can!
