I was a kid in the 80s, a teen in the 90s. I didn't get on the internet until 1997. Finding message boards with likeminded people in 1999 was a gamechanger, as was reconnecting with classmates via social media in the 2010s. You have no idea how isolating being LGBTQ & autistic is without internet.

I'm in my 20s. I grew up with social media. Without that and video games, I would have been so completely isolated. We should be making the world safer for kids, not trying to ban them from it.
