A1: Oof. Well, my anxiety has been pretty bad, so I’m grateful for meds that med. Still, I feel really thankful for the editors of Hot Wings and Sauciness because they caught so much. It was humbling because writing while burnt out is tough. But the book’s gonna really shine! #WeeknightWriters

A4: Well, if the temperature goes down, I will feel much better if I can play in the dirt! I love gardening, and it’s so great for my mental health!

A2: My brain and body are not being cooperative. Also: an upcoming trip to visit a very sick parent is on my mind a lot.
It feels weird to put out a book with all that going on, but humorous writing helps me so much.

Hi, I’m Cait, pronounced like MEOW! I went through all of the first editor’s comments for Hot Wings and Sauciness It’s my romance innn spaaace with the meet awkward of the 25th century! Starring, a disabled, autistic, and sweary FMC who goes to a hen party, dressed as a hen! #WeeknightWriters
A3: There was a comment from one of my editors that was so funny, I laughed for like ten minutes. I can’t put it here because spoilers. It also brought me joy that folks are really loving the book.
And today, I redid the stickers on Noola, my rollator, because PINK flames! #WeeknightWriters
Me, 11 years ago: I can’t walk! I’m terrified of needing a mobility device!
Me, today: So, the character I named my mobility device after really loves pink, and I’ve decided to make her name pink, put pink hearts, and of course, add pink flames!
(Overcoming internalized ableism is freeing.)
I deserve not to harm myself by “pushing through.” Writing should be a joy. Writing every day is not necessary. The book will get written when it is written. #SpoonieAuthChat
