Cut up a piece of carbonate rock today that was mostly a mix of iron/magnesium/calcium carbonate but it also had some malachite in it. I like the mix of colors.
I’m working on making some real life Minecraft blocks for a video and decided to use chalcopyrite as a raw gold. It’s always shown as iridescent but that’s just the patina. The fresh surface is similar to pyrite and other sulfides. Let’s see how long it takes to change color.
I found orange glazed terracotta, the shirt.
And to clarify, chalcopyrite is not gold ore but is a common host in modern mines.
Fun fact! Angry villager particles work well as impacts for a small scaled version of the Late Heavy Bombardment.
