Netanyahu may want a forever-conflict politically, but that does not mean Iran gets nothing from it. Iran benefits if the conflict stays just hot enough to exhaust the U.S./Israel/Gulf system, but not so hot that Iran’s own infrastructure gets wrecked. This was never going to be a short war.
