Obsessed Spreadsheeter (ist? izer?). Likes old anime dubs, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and that weird sticky goo that holds magazine inserts in place. Frequently wrong. www.v-i.dev

Beyond the battlefield lies the truth and the price of power. Watch Heavy Metal L-Gaim now on HIDIVE!
Naoki Urasawa's Monster: Collection 1 The beloved thriller telling a tale of evil born & evil built is finally in HD! The first 37 episodes are here subbed & with the classic English dub! Plus Spanish subs! mediaocd.com/product/mons...
Well, Sentai Filmworks either done goofed with their imagery for that new e-mail they just sent me... or the Heavy Metal L-Gaim BD set got a surprise English dub. My guess is that someone just done goofed. Whoops!
Tonight’s reading: Speed Racer: The Official 30th Anniversary Guide (1997) by Elizabeth Moran As I’ve slowly come to discover, a good 70-80% of any info on the production of the English version of Speed Racer all seems to point back to this book in some form or another.
I don’t think it’s any exaggeration to say this was the single worst anime Funimation ever licensed… …and that it’s also one of the great “so bad it’s good” anime that’s an absolute hoot to laugh at.
Is Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom the first anime released in the U.S. exclusively as a UHD BD? Crunchyroll only put out a 4K Steelbook, and said Steelbook doesn’t even include a normal BD. It did get regular BDs from Anime Ltd in the UK and Sugoi Co in Australia, for what it’s worth.
Now, Parkfield Playtime wasn’t exactly known for the most accurate covers, but even so I’m not exactly convinced. (Cover of the incredibly rare U.S. version for comparison, stolen from the one guy on Reddit who has a copy). Was Ladd involved in multiple Treasure Island adaptations?
Does anyone know what’s on the Treasure Island VHS from Parkfield Playtime in the UK? Fred Ladd’s name is on the back, so at first glance I had assumed it was Treasure Island Revisited, but the character designs on the cover don’t match that at all.
And by “multiple”, I mean at least 3, as he was also tangentially linked to the dubbing of Animal Treasure Island as well. cartoonresearch.com/index.php/ea...
