Dietrich Bonhoeffer was an anti-fascist German Lutheran pastor who opposed Hitler and the Nazi Party so effectively that they murdered him in 1945.
He is only a bad guy if you literally spend all your time on far-right, neo-Nazi websites and have pickled your brain in fascist group chats.
The thing is you gotta be obsessed with the Nazi regime to even reach for a Bonhoeffer reference here and you gotta be an incredibly twisted soul to think Bonhoeffer’s nonviolent heroism is the tragedy we can’t repeat in that story.
I really wish that John Fetterman was up for re-election in November. The only way to get rid of a senator is to expel them. He is consistently voting for Donald Trump, not democracy. He can't even let a war powers resolution go through.
