Cleaning up pics from last week trip to Michigan's "mining country" (Keweenaw Peninsula), where immigrants from all over Europe arrived to do horrific jobs below the earth that killed/injured many. The look on some of these faces haunts me. Immigrants always do the horrific work Americans won't do.
