This speculative piece of fiction is written in response to the common notion that the current university system is broken. As well as identifying problems with the current university system, we need to reflect on what we would like the tertiary system to look like in the future, especially for school-leavers. What follows is one potential version of an utopian university, outlining its educational philosophies, values and the wider social and political background that would make it possible.
