Yesterday, in honor of International Workers’ Day, about fifty members and allies of The New Yorker Union and Condé United held a “Dismay Day” rally and leafletting session.
For the fourth wrongly fired member, the fight continues at the National Labor Relations Board.

We won't be intimidated by union busting, and we won't stop fighting until our colleagues are reinstated. The legacy and future of the magazine depends on it.
The company was forced to pay a significant settlement, expunge the disciplinary records of eight unjustly punished workers, and reinstate three of our Fired Four to employees in good standing. They have resigned on their own terms.
This evening, at the Paris Theater, dozens of New Yorker Union members passed out flyers to hundreds of filmgoers at a première screening of THE NEW YORKER AT 100, a new documentary on Netflix.
We demand the reinstatement of the Fired Four—and we continue to show Condé Nast that we stand strong against their attempts at union busting.
When we fight, we win—and get some great press coverage to boot! This week, after trying to break our union by illegally firing and disciplining our members, Condé Nast settled with the NewsGuild.
SAG-AFTRA stands in solidarity with the Condé United and NewsGuild of New York union members who were retaliated against for questioning the closure of Teen Vogue.

This evening, I stood with the hardworking New Yorkers of CWA District 1 and the NewsGuild of New York as they fight for fair treatment from Conde Nast. I'll always support our unions and our workers.

Some personal news, as they say: I’m so stoked for the rest of the Fired Four getting this deal. Conde is giving them nearly two years of backpay. They offered me 4 months. In the absence of a serious offer, I’m looking forward to my day in court. www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/bus...
