I was pleased to meet with the Schools Minister as part of the All Party Parliamentary Group for autism to discuss changes expected in the upcoming Bill.
My thoughts on the Courts Bill ⚖️
I've been scrutinising the Courts Bill closely and, while I recognise the need to address pressures in the system, I cannot support proposals that would reduce access to jury trials.
Young people deserve better protection from extreme violence and harmful content online.
I welcome yesterday’s proposals, but the Online Safety Act must go further.
June is off to a busy start!
I've been standing up for our community, speaking out in Parliament, and supporting local people across Mid Dorset and North Poole.
Here’s a look at the week 👇
Huge congratulations to Wimborne Rugby Club on an incredible 75 years!
For generations, this club has been at the heart of the community, bringing people together and shaping young lives.

Cleaner energy. Better jobs.

That's why I called on the government to appoint a ministerial advocate for the South West in energy security.
Let's act now 🌿

Justice should not be scaled back simply because of a backlog, instead, we need meaningful reforms that strengthen the system.
This matters not just for victims and defendants, but for society as a whole, and it’s vital we get it right.
I'm particularly concerned about whether enough magistrates can be recruited, and whether they would realistically be able to take on a significantly increased workload.
That’s why I have backed an alternative report, which sets out a different way forward.
Horrifying scenes in Belfast. Demonising a community for the actions of an individual is appalling.
This isn’t legitimate protest
