This week, sidewalk work on Monarch Drive between Gleneagles Drive and McKinley Court will require single-lane alternating traffic.
πΆ Pedestrian Detour
Until June 26, the sidewalk in the work area will be closed, and pedestrians will be directed to the opposite side of the street.
City of Kamloops
Starting today (June 22, 2026), City Hall will have extended hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for tax payments (closed on weekends and July 1).
π In-person payment is also available at the Tournament Capital Centre from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

The preferred time for automated irrigation is between 12 am and 7 am.

The Monarch to Waddington Sewer Upgrades Project is nearing completion, with final restoration work taking place over the coming weeks. Crews will be replanting boulevard trees, replacing irrigation, installing an access gate, reinstating sidewalk sections, and completing landscaping remediation.
π± Reseeding Area Closed
The green space and walking trail within the restoration area will remain closed to allow for successful reseeding. Please respect all posted signage and stay out of closed areas.
