Wrote about Josh Bell's perceived season-half streakiness, his actual (much less unusual) shorter-period streakiness, how he's gotten hot over the last four weeks, and how he came up with the big homer for #MNTwins in their win last night. twinsdaily.com/news-rumors/...
Don’t know how many tickets actually bought, but I’ve seen far fewer fans in the stands this year than a 3.1% sales drop. (It’s still fun for me, I keep surfing the Wrigley 1977 vibe where the team stinks, cheap beer, plenty of room to stretch out & you can easily find your true baseball sicko pals)

Pete Crow-Armstrong had a game last night like no Cub has had in five years, and one like no Cub has had since 1993. He's been as good since May 22 as a certain former Cubs outfielder was from May 22 through June in 1998. All the fun facts and details:

Pete Crow-Armstrong has been baseball's main character for about a year now. For the last four weeks, he's also been the best player in the game. His remarkable night (and streak) by the numbers, and everything bringing us this far, @northsidebaseball.com: northsidebaseball.com/news-rumors/...

Robert Gasser goes for the #Brewers tonight. He's had a rough go of it so far in what he hopes will be his first sustained stint in the majors. Wrote about the good adjustments he's made, and the difficult step left: making them pay off, by locating better. brewerfanatic.com/news-rumors/...

Josh Bell has been on time and on the barrel from the right side lately. That makes him dangerous—especially if you're not aware of just how ready he is to destroy a mistake. #twins #minnesota #mntwins

All of Robert Gasser's adjustments this year have him trending toward being a solid left-handed starter for the Brewers. So far, though, the results haven't matched the talent, because nothing is goin...

The last time a Cubs player got this hot starting on May 22, he never really cooled off. #cubs #chicago
The Twins are about halfway through their slate of home games. Attendance is down 3.1% compared to the same point as last year, and they rank 25th in the league with an average of 19,487 fans per game. www.startribune.com/minnesota-tw...

I assumed Jacob Misiorowski's 77.6% zone contact rate had to be one of the lowest tracked (since 2002) and somehow there's a bunch of pitchers that have had lower:
1. 2004 Johan Santana 74.3%
2. 2004 Matt Clement 76.2%
3. 2019 Gerrit Cole 77.1%
4. 2002 Pedro Martínez 77.2%

Through 39 home games, the Twins have reported they sold exactly 760,000 tickets. It’s a 3.1% decrease from the same point last year.
