Is today everyone's first day on the bus 🙄
I miss who we were before the Hortmans were taken from us. There's a grief that lingers now. While those feelings may never leave, I'm proud of how we've come together to honor the Hortmans and heal one another. Public servants through and through. May we honor them always.
Seems that it was very unpopular for the Hennepin County Sherriff's office to work with an occupying force terrorizing Minnesotans and the fallout of that decision was felt today when Sherriff Witt failed to get the DFL endorsement & ultimately withdrew despite running unopposed.

I've been Minneapolis DFL Chair for exactly 8 weeks. As the first Black woman to hold this position, it was awesome to spend the day at Bethune Park for a Juneteenth celebration surrounded by community, history, and culture. 2026, and Black women are still making history.
