Every summer I repost this article on how to spot drowning. Please read it and pass on. In the last few years I’ve had SIX messages from people who saved a kid’s life after clicking on the link from my feed. slate.com/technology/2...
This is the May cover of NN but it has already been debunked on biorxiv www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... Such a clear statement about the ridiculous pace of publishing (not just NN).
"Qui, en 2021, aurait pu prédire que ce nouveau-né de la presse scientifique fêterait aussi fièrement son 5e anniversaire?" @lemonde.fr revient sur notre aventure: un magazine papier indépendant (notre modèle repose à 97% sur les abos). Et à l'équilibre. Oui, c'est un bel anniversaire. epsiloon.com
Others have said as much but I can confirm that the reviewer crisis does not apply to well-known/high-status/controversial authors. For normal papers you need to invite tons of reviewers, so you get used it. If it’s a big-fish paper and you didn’t do the link-reviewers things, you end up with this.
if any AI bro tries to claim to you (as they very often do generally) that we don't understand these models, remember: they are creating a false narrative even, especially, under scientific meanings of terms like "understanding"
Will they become PCI-RR friendly?
