While Lily Kong (President of SMU) #FORCE2026 keynote admits that her “diagnosis is not new”, it is still very encouraging to see someone in Asia highlight problems with “publish or perish” culture and failings of citation based metrics. Great promotion of DORA, CoARA, Leiden manifesto, FAIR etc.
