The feedback from participants at the #SerialEM Community Meeting 2026 in April — and the future of this format — have been central topics in our recent discussions.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, making the decision to have another meeting in 2028 an easy one. Choosing the location, however, is more complex: this year’s venue received strong support from both on-site and remote attendees, so it’s a leading option — but not the only one.
A map of European countries with the product they were the world's #1 exporter of in 2023 (found on Reddit, source unknown) ... if this is correct, I am really proud of our Czech neighbours (while Austria is exporting "flavoured water"?!).

Yesterday, we took microscopy to a whole new level! 🔬 Nexperion visited a local kindergarten to explore the amazing microcosmos with the next generation of scientists. Did not succeed to install #SerialEM on this microscope, though.
