You're allowed to not like it's flavor, but to say that it's straight bad for having grit, challenge, and mechanics resembling souls games is poor "criticism".
Aversion to challenge in games is fine. We all have different tastes and folks should enjoy their hobbies.
Nearing the end of my first Mina the Hollower run and the only real complaint i have is reading things doesn't pause the game. I feel it should. Otherwise, top 15 game for sure!
I will say that a common "complaint" I see is that it's too "souls-like" and that makes "bad".
Like what?
However, judging someone else else for enjoying challenge , could gush about the cool ways MTH handles it" is really silly. I love hearing why people enjoy the things they do, but actual criticism needs to be thought out and backed up with examples and knowledge. Otherwise it's just complaining.
I apologize if anyone feels called out, not my intention. I just feel strongly about this and had to get it off my chest. This and Silksong have really breathed fresh air into old genres I like and it just pains me when I see some strawman statements that boil down to "game is hard, therefore bad."
If Bluesky smears it, I apologize. Uploaded from my phone.
An attempt at a 1bit signature.

I love this freak!
A complete redo on a smaller canvas of a piece I made for Pride Month last year. Now in 1bit!

I saw i passed 200 followers and thought that was neato. Appreciate everyone that does!
I was going to post another attempt at a signature design, but my CachyOS laptop is being silly. I'll post it before I go to bed, but rest assured, I'm happy for the milestone!
Mina the Hollower continues to impress me. So many good hints (player intuition pending) that make me smile!
Also, with trinkets and weapons, you can really set it to your playstyle. There's even a primary weapon that let's you attack in 8 directions!
May go down as one of my favorites.
