So my Dad loved to write…
He wrote a lot of poetry, some of it very dark!!
But he also wrote about love
However, his favourite poems were about Carp Fishing.
He wrote this in 1992 and my son read it out at his funeral.

I’m Friday and Saturday 4-6 beers and 2 - 3 whiskies
As a rule I don’t drink on a school night, but there are exceptions
When I look at these figures to me it’s not excessive, yet I know it’s still considerably over the recommended units.

Tomorrow is my Dads birthday
He died 4/1/25
He was cremated & I’ve held on to his ashes. But tomorrow on his birthday I intend to part with his ashes. My Dad & I loved fishing, it was our happy place
I’ve bought a sapling Silver Birch Tree. I’m planting it at his favourite lake with his ashes. ❤️
