This Edmonton speeding study is consistent with data from Calgary showing per capita traffic fatalities have increased markedly since photo radar was restricted by the province in 2022 - Calgary went from being safer than Toronto to notably worse. Reckless speeding kills.
City of Edmonton and University of Alberta study found number of drivers travelling 30 km/h over the speed limit increased up to 128 per cent edmontonjournal.com/news/local-n... .

Feds launch Billy Bishop consultation
We need to harden and protect our public spaces online from interference by authoritarian/extremist foreign actors looking to sow hate and division in this country, and we need to do it quickly
In light of the horrific scenes of racist rioting in Belfast yesterday, stemming from a far right ‘protest’ promoted by Elon Musk, Canadian elected officials and public institutions still using X/twitter should stop posting there immediately, or be shamed for not doing so
If the island airport is any guide, the feds are reluctant to exercise regulatory authority even in areas where they have unambiguous sole constitutional authority to do so
Hey some Toronto establishment with back bone. Even some Liberals.
Can we all finally agree that the supply of housing is a huge determinant of its price? Anyone who blames speculators or landlords needs to explain how these are someone more present in Halifax or Toronto than in Calgary, Montreal or Edmonton. Time to reduce zoning & tax barriers to new housing!
Wow - over 65% of homeowners view falling home prices as positive, versus only ~15% who think it’s negative. You know a housing bubble has gotten out of hand and is bad for the country when people are willing to cheer on a decline in the value of what is often their main asset for the greater good.

I hope the MPs who use this platform use this moment to tell their colleagues they should quit the race riot and non-consensual pornography platform once and for all, and call them out when they refuse. Musk clearly has no intention of cleaning up his platform, quite the opposite in fact.
