It’s bad form to arrest your mates I guess.
It is astonishing how quickly the police can turn up and arrest a student with a cardboard sign outside an embassy but are somehow entirely helpless in the face of a publicly organised campaign of targeted arson and violence.
Sometimes I think about how ICE started ramping back up during hot weather figuring we were at our strongest in the cold and that it would be easier in hot weather, but everybody I know who can ride a bike is out basically every day. We are more powerful because of bike culture.
Had a nightmare that we’d decided to teach the med students “real life” maths skills by running an evening casino, and I was panicking because I hadn’t learnt the rules of any card games. I am scared this is not a dream but a prophetic vision.
Yay! It is Annual Progress Review day aka the day I fight not to have 5 year goals on the grounds that I fundamentally do not believe that *my* actions are the main sources of positive or negative outcomes in my working environment + that my 'performance markers' change arbitrarily every year so 🤷‍♀️
