In the Yoruban tradition Ibeji represent duality, an orisha that is twins. Children of Oshun and Shango, the keeper of twins, Ibeji's gender is determined by the sculptor of their statue. Twins are powerful, and if one twin dies an Ibeji statue can replace them. #FairytaleTuesday
