The first ever #Pride #Shabbat at my Orthodox congregation in Highland Park, NJ, was a HUGE success.
We usually max out at about 40 when we gather but by the time we got to lunch after services we were 100 strong!!!
Yes, there ARE Orthodox Shuls who celebrate and welcome our holy LGBTQ+ siblings.
Mushrooms, though "hate" is the wrong word. There's no emotion involved. My body just completely rejects the texture as being in any way associated with food.
Also most whole/cut fruit is wrong. Not as wrong as mushrooms, but still wrong.

Got to celebrate my niece's Bat Mitzvah this morning with my wife, son, parents, and siblings. Such mazel, such joy.
Soon I will leave for a showing of DevOUT, a documentary on Orthodox women coming out of the closet as the final #Pride event for my shul this weekend.
