It seems it's not just the government that is against pro-Palestinian activity in the face of Israeli aggression.
Last year I did a sponsored walk for a mental health charity and raised over £1200. This year, I am 'Striding for Palestinians' and have so far raised £80 from 5 sponsors. 😥
I'm enjoying tracing my journey on the map, and finding out more about the areas I am passing through; quite an education in the history of the country and its current troubles.
For goodness sake, in 2023 I raised £350 in sponsorship just to help open a new naturist club in Scotland!
My target this year is a modest £250 for people under ongoing attack, where hospitals are in ruins, medical supplies are severely limited and even basic routine healthcare is majorly disrupted,
Today, I am almost halfway to Jericho, close to the archaeological site of Khirbat Ji'ibit, where a rare 1st century Jewish coin was found... and more recently a Palestinian farmer had a large section of fence stolen by nearby settlers.
