Using the Game Score metric from Pivot Fade dot com, Dylan Harper was the 2nd best Spurs player in the Finals. Harper and Vassell elevated their play in the Finals, while Champagnie maintained his usual production from the regular season
The Spurs by each quarter BEFORE the NBA Finals and then AFTER the Finals. This followed the pattern in most Finals games. San Antonio would have good starts, good quarters after halftime, but have collapses in the 2Q and 4Q
Thanks for following along this season and reading/listening/watching my work on @TheSpotUpShot and Small Market Bias. The Spurs being back in the Finals brought back memories of my pal Michael De Leon, who I covered the last Finals run with in 2014.
3 made 2-pointers, and 3-made 3-pointers were the difference in the series between the Spurs and Knicks in the five-game series
During the season, the Spurs went 53-14 when leading by double digits. Against Portland, Minnesota and OKC, they went 12-2 in the playoffs when leading by double digits. Against the Knicks in the Finals, 1-4.
For the Knicks, using the Game Score metric, OG was their best player initially, but then Brunson had some strong closing games and pulled away at the end. Brunson and OG stepped up in the Finals

The Knicks by each quarter BEFORE and AFTER the NBA Finals. Aside from the 1Q, they held up in the other 3 quarters well.
