This one hits hard.

That fervor just expands to include Gortash, a mortal man who climbed out of the hells to be Achaia’s first Equal. Who was strong enough to hold his leash & guide him to a different purpose-& who saved the world by doing so. So Achaia doesn’t have self hatred but he has an ABUNDANCE OF LOVE.

That’s the Bhaalist Christ figure part of his character. The son, the living god, type shit. Where he knows he is loved by Bhaal because he is of Bhaal-flesh of his flesh- divine and mortal. But he also loves his father as a son should, loves his god as a worshipper should.

#tavqotd Achaia doesn’t do self loathing. He’s too practical, he is as he was made- his crimes are part of his nature, like a snake eating rats. When he does finally find love, with Gortash, it’s easy for him to accept it. Too easy maybe, but what can he say-he is made to worship and be worshipped.

#tavqotd I think the regal vision that is pre-tadpole Achaia would give current Achaia a complex. His memory issues? His loss of power and standing, the loss of his child. He’d feel diminished in comparison He probably say something like “let go of Orin. She…she doesn’t love you like you love her”

But then again-if it hadn’t happened he wouldn’t have met Ilya. His Gortash’s plan would have worked and well….thats not something he wants anymore. So maybe he wouldn’t say anything but, “it’ll all work out. And the suffering…we earned that.”

#tavqotd Achaia doesn’t feel like anything, to such a degree that you probably don’t even notice him…until he wants you to. His Aura of Murder, however, is the kind of thing that makes even people seasoned in self control, like Gortash, quake. It’s something he has complete control over and uses

To his advantage. when his Urge is trying to assert itself or is being indulged his air can grow quite large, filling whole city streets and neighborhoods with an anxious sickly fear-the kind that feels like an imminent demise.

#TavQOTD How would you describe your Tav/Durge's aura? What's the first impression one would get? Oriel would give you mixed feelings. It's clear from the 1st glance that he's nuts but who knows if it's in a fun or bad way? Charming smile though, with lingering tragedy. He probably needs a hug #bg3
