IVPP fills in two essential gaps:
1) Previous approaches to comparing dynamical networks only report the presence/absence of heterogeneity. In contrast, IVPP uncovers edge-level differences, providing a more meaningful network-difference test that reveals the mechanisms of heterogeneity.
