Just sent out. The USA seems to have committed war crime deliberately and openly, by destroying civilian access to water as summer approaches. It is strategically idiotic and morally repulsive--and needs to be acknowledged if the US has a chance to recover. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...
As Trump and his acolytes start banging their chests about ramping up the war, seizing Kharg Island, maybe fighting for the rest of the year, it is worth remembering that at no point has Congress given approval to this military action in any way.
And it started 103 days ago.
Approx 20,000 Iranians rely on the destroyed plant for water. The temperature in the region is now over 100 degrees Fahrenheit/ over 40 degrees Celsius. It is a punishment strike, a threat to commit even greater war crimes.
The new US way of war.
One thing that should be very clear now, is that every one of Trump's claims in the last two months that an agreement with Iran was close, imminent, just around the corner, and that Iran had been militarily defeated and desperate for a deal....was made up.
All were lies, every one.
The further Putinisation of America. Stuck in a stupid war of choice he is losing, and with no clear strategy, the Dear Leader resorts to war crimes.
It is exactly the kind of thing Putin would do. That is what the USA is now, a more technologically advanced version of Putin's Russia.
