The Mosel is one of 13 wine regions in Germany. The Mosel is best known for its white wines from the Riesling grape, though since the 1990's grapes used to make pinot noir have become popular. Wine production in this area goes back to the days of Roman occupation.

51 years ago today, Steve Prefontaine was killed in a car crash. This memorial, known as "Pre's Rock" is at the crash site. Perhaps the greatest distance runner the U.S. has ever seen, at one point "Pre" held every American record from 2,000 meters to 10,000 meters.

Utah is known for dinosaur fossils, and the state dinosaur (or at least the state non-avian dinosaur) is the theropod Allosaurus. This example, nicknamed "Ally", greets guests at the Salt lake City International Airport in Concourse B next to the Delta Sky Club.
