Today is the feast of St Columba, the 6thC Irish missionary who founded Iona Abbey and was responsible for bringing Christianity to much of western Scotland.
One of the best known depictions of the saint is this stained glass window by Douglas Strachan in St Margaret's Chapel in Edinburgh Castle.
