part of why we need diversity in game development btw. one person's unremarkable everyday life can be another's "whoah this worldbuilding is insane"

talking to my brother about what I perceived as quirky things in the older Pokemon games probably just being normal Japanese things. I mentioned the little building transitions between towns that just have a guy standing at a desk and he immediately identified them as Kōban / police boxes. OH.
