I've been crying pretty intermittently throughout today. My boss let me go home early and said that she would work to cover shifts for when I fly out for a funeral (despite literally coming back from a wedding/vacation this week).

At 12pm today, my grandpa passed away. I didn't see him on my trip because he was starving himself and waiting to die. I want to remember him as he lived, not as he died.
The anniversary of my grandma's death was on the 9th (her birthday was on the 7th), he just wanted to be with her again.
