An in-house collaboration between the #QuattrocoloLab and the #NigroLab. Beautiful images and very interesting data collected.
The latest story from the #QuattrocoloLab fulfills a long time dream. Are #CajalRetzius cells important for the maturation of spatial navigation? It turns out that superficial pyramidal cells in CA1 care much more about CR cells postnatal presence that deep pyramidal cells.
#QuattrocoloLab preprint out 👇! We explored changes in the proteome of hippocampal and dentate gyrus growth cones at early postnatal stages. We see that at P1 growth cones from the two subregions are very similar, but start to diverge from P3, with HP growth cones maturing earlier then DG ones.
A small delegation of the #QuattrocoloLab is @corticodevelopment.bsky.social. We did a lab visit of Taormina this morning and now we are getting ready for the science. We are presenting 4 different projects here, from hippocampal growth cones to MEC development to (obviously!!) Cajal-Retzius cells!
I really had the best time visiting Vilnius University for the Summer School on Neurodevelopment! Wonderful campus, lovely city and great interactions!
The #QuattrocoloLab has 5 posters at the #FRM2025. We have interneurons, growth cones and Cajal-Retzius cells, going from proteomics to behavior. Stop by in the Development session Tuesday afternoon!
I am looking for a postdoc with an immunology background interested in joining a Yale neuroscience lab to study how the brain controls immunity. At Yale, we have a wonderful interdisciplinary & collaborative #neuroimmune community. Please reach out or share with anyone who might be interested!

Please check out and RT this new position for an exciting collaborative project with @boninlab.bsky.social and @franckp.bsky.social on the links between human-specific mechanisms and neurodevelopmental disorders in cortical circuits.

And we are saying goodbye to the first postdoc of the #QuattrocoloLab. It will be sad not to have Keagan around anymore, but he is off to another great adventure! It has been a pleasure working with him and I will surely miss our gene network related discussions a lot!
We're hiring! Our lab is looking for a postdoc to investigate the #evodevo of #cephalopod brains. Did you recently graduate, and do you want to join our EU #WEAVE project with the Simakov and @simon-sprecher.bsky.social labs? Find the application form👇Thanks for RT 🐙🦑
