Now I'm curious about the baby duck.
It's been 13 years since I lost my dad. Time has blunted some of the sting, but I still feel deep loss - and great joy from his memory - every day. Happy Father's day, dad.
Guy who scolded me for posting about the reflecting pool instead of more important outrages is now also upset that there was a newspaper article somewhere about a baby duck. (Seriously).
Maybe just let people talk about what they want to?

I wish I had had more time to photograph this delightfully weird building, but I only had an hour or so before I had to leave for the airport that day. The hard morning light only illuminated this one angle reasonably acceptably.

Everything else aside, if the CEO of a major company (but still a tiny fraction of the size of the US government) was visibly spending half his time fretting about refurbishing the fountain in front of corporate headquarters, the stock would tank and the board would fire them.
