Update: something has indeed been eating the food but seemingly not the critter I've been looking for...

Been trying to catch a pregnant stray cat. I almost got her today but she escaped and I fear I've scared her off now :( I've got food, water, and a box with a towel in it outside but nothing after several hours :(
