Even though I really love wordplay and literary phrases, occasionally there’s an idiom or something that I really dislike no matter how many times I see it, and for very autistic reasons.
Case in point: “a hit dog will holler”. Like of course the dog is hollering. Why are you hitting them?! 🥺
