Question for #rstats #lavaan folks: I have two mathematically equivalent models. Both have ~12 MVs as indicators of 3 LVs. Model 1 has 3 covariances between those 3 LVs. Model 2 instead has those 3 LVs as indicators of a second-order LV. Model 1 works but Model 2 returns ”Model estimation FAILED!”
