As promised at #cssday: me, in hotpants, shaking the golden-clad BrucieBootyâ„¢ to a song based on Village People's "In the Navy": In Vivaldi. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r9e...
On the way home from enjoying a fantastic #CSSDay. The talks were great and it was wonderful to meet friends old and new. The web is still the best platform to build creative stuff, and CSS is the best design tool to do it with.
Triggered by @patrickbrosset.com's talk at #CSSDay:
Progressively enhanced data-dense layout with grid-lanes www.projectwallace.com/blog/using-g...
Or, less keyword-heavy: how grid-lanes can be used for data-dense layouts and not just for fun/newspaper-like stuff for browsers that support it.

Here you go! (Except I've been told that the guy in the middle is, in fact, not Jake. Maybe a little bit of AI magic can fix that? 😅)

I built an offline-first CSS grid lanes demo in my car after learning how to do it from @patrickbrosset.com yesterday at #cssday
And last but not least, although I didn’t get a picture with them, my good friend and former Firefox DevTools colleague: @nicolaschevobbe.bsky.social, and his new Mozilla coworker, and amazing storyteller: @jakearchibald.com.
Crazy the people you can meet IRL when you go to events!

#cssday continued… Great chats with @schepp.dev and @erwinhofman.bsky.social, advanced CSS talks with @kizu.dev, learned a lot from @joshtumath.uk, got my brain melted by @html5test.com, and of course special thanks to @rgadellaa.bsky.social for fighting the good battle with @open-web-advocacy.org.
More #cssday friends!
@sjoy.lol who gave a wonderful talk. @ohhelloana.blog the amazing MC. @kevinpowell.co who is everyone front-end best friend. And the one and only @una.im. Amazing to meet you all. And more to come…
