why can you not see me?
am i too ugly?
am i too fat?
so many burnt offerings
have gone unnoticed,
i am but smoke and ash.
so i kneel in the middle
of the crossroads,
midnight moon flaring,
beseeching any fiend
to steer your eyes toward me.
