one of the reasons why it sold so well was because they packaged ys 1-5 in with the LE so that everyone could catch up on the story so far, since at the time ys games spanned many different systems
speaking of Brandish, this is still one of the coolest Falcom things to exist
a Brandish novel written by THE Hayakawa is already crazy to me and then you read it and it’s peak fiction too
