Under successive governments there has been slow, and often flawed, but steady progress in increasing the capability of the public service on kaupapa Māori and Te Tiriti. This Government’s relentless agenda to cut Māori roles and teams across agencies is taking us backwards.
It follows a series of cuts and restructures to Māori roles across government agencies in recent years.
