Reading Robert Jay Lifton on My Lai is such a frustrating experience. He has some good things to say - but he appears never to have heard of individual agency or responsibility?!? People just wander into 'atrocity-inducing situations' through no fault of their own and end up doing a massacre...🤷🏼‍♂️
